Labor Day 9/7/09 Britt and I went to pick huckleberries for the last time this year. We picked for about 2 1/2 hours and got close to a gallon and a half. We went up to Moody Meadows on the trail into Castle Lake. I know everyone thinks that sharing your huckleberry 'spot' is SO bad, but I see it that there were SO many berries this year that everyone should be in. It was so nice to spend a few hours with just Britt and I out enjoying nature. 
I told Britt that I was going to post this on our blog because he always ends up with huckleberry streaks and grass stains on his pants. Here is proof! He says that its his secret method of picking :)

On the drive into Moody Meadows the trees have grown together over the road creating this tunnel effect. I just love the outdoors!
This butterfly kept hanging around and following us for about an hour.
