Valentine's Fun! with UPDATED PICS!!

Kim took pics with her camera phone and figured out how to get them to her computer, so here they are...
This is Britt and Keyton petting the bull elk that was rubbing up all over them.
Elk eating the hay. They were getting close to losing their antlers.
The sound that it makes when the bull elk hit their antlers together is really neat. To me its a very peaceful sound.

We decided at the last minute to go to Victor, ID and ride a sleigh to see the elk. Well I was hoping the clouds would go away and the sun come out so it would be warm enough to take Kaycen. When we arrived there were a few clouds but the sun kept breaking through, the wind wasnt blowing so I decided he would be fine. I am SO glad we did go with Britt, Keyton, Dennis and Kim because it was really neat. Keyton thought it was great. One of the bulls came right up to Britt and Keyton and was rubbing his head, mostly his hay buggers, all over their coats and hands. This elk couldnt get enough of them. Good thing they cut his antlers off. I was so mad and forgot my camera at this kodak moment for Keyton. He thought it was great and wasnt scared one bit. Britt got a few pics with his camera phone. I guess we will just have to make the trip again... they said the bulls should start dropping their antlers soon and the females should start calving. Maybe in a month when its a bit warmer. We then went back to Driggs and stopped in at O' Rourks for a bite to eat. YUM! Thanks Britt for a fun Valentine's Day with the kids. We loved it!

What did you say?

We were at the Briggs last night and when we were leaving Keyton was mad because he wanted to stay. Well I wasnt sure if he was mad at me or what was going on, but he said this....

Keyton: "I hate you"

ME: "What did you just say?"

Keyton: "I hate.... peanut butter!!!"

He was quick to respond with this... we all just laughed about it for about 5 minutes. Kids and what they learn and say from others. Not sure where he picked this one up but I have heard it come out of his mouth a few times. Gotta love 'em.

"One of those Moms"

I swore I would never be "one of those Moms" who clean their kids' room. Well I admit, I am. But I am trying to change that. Keyton has a bunch of little toys and so I bought this bin storage thing and it has 8 little bins and 4 bigger ones that I like to divide the toys in, like cars in one, balls in another, you get my drift. Well I decided today that I have absolutely had it with Keyton dumping EVERYTHING out of them in one great big pile twice a day for the last week. I have been trying to think of how to get him to clean it, well poor kid was in his room for two hours before lunchtime because I wouldnt let him come out until he picked all the toys up. Well after Kaycen fell asleep I was feeling a little bad, so I went and helped him, but I was proud of myself because I didnt just do it myself I made sure Keyton picked up at least half. Then we went and had some lunch and things have been a little more peaceful... well so far, lots more hours in the day. So hopefully I am onto something.

I also have been trying to do a little bit of pre-school activities with him. I am trying to do this at least 3 times a week where its just Keyton and I spending time together. If anyone has any good ideas or websites that have different ideas they want to share, I would love to take a look.

Valentine's Family Fun

I was wanting to get some ideas on what we could do as a family on Valentine's Day. I really wish that we could leave BOTH boys and Britt and I go out, but no one will watch Kaycen right now because he is going through seperation anxiety and wont let me out of his sight. Poor baby, melts my heart and frustrates me all at the same time. So I am trying to think of something fun for us to do Saturday. Britt wanted to take us all ice fishing, but I think Kaycen would get too cold. I know he would love it because he loves to be outside almost as much as Keyton does. And in all reality, it would be more for Britt than the rest of us. Ok so Keyton would like it a lot as well but I think it needs to be saved for a Dad and Son outing. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

What is blogging anyways??

So I really have been thinking about this 'blogging' stuff lately. I love to surf around and check out others blogs. Well I realized I wanted to do more blogging with what REALLY happens in my everyday life rather than just always sharing good times with pictures. So sorry to those in advance, but I will be doing more writing on here than just pics and how great things are. It really has helped me to see those people who blog every day or every other day and just put in a little blurb about what life really is. I think its nice to realize that we all have struggles and life really is not always hunky dory as we portray all the time. I hope no one thinks I am dissing their blog... because really I am not. I just was thinking that for me and my sanity to release some feelings for the day would be to just sit down and let it out. So thanks Stephanie, you have helped me understand what blogging is going to be for me!!
