Weekend in Liberty, Utah

Last weekend (3/20/09-3/22/09) we went to Utah to stay with Coleen and the kids. Saturday morning was really nice outside. We couldnt keep the kids inside. As you can see Keyton is still in his PJ's and Ireland is sporting the princess and wig outfit, and Nalani and NaKell are in their gymnastics outfits! These kids would play outside if the wind was blowing 90 mph and snowing! In Liberty they still had about a foot or more of snow still. But it was melting fast.

Later that day was Nalani's baptism. Here is a picture of Coleen and the kids just before we left to the Stake Center. They all looked so cute, and the boys looked very handsome in their suits.

This was taken just before the Baptism Program got started. Nalani was so excited! Britt was honored to be the one to baptize her.

Later that evening after the dinner. Some of the kids were watching a movie with Grandpa Briggs in the theatre room. These are the kids who chose to watch a little something more exciting in Coleen's room! They were so cute all sitting together, and best of all... no fighting!

Spring Fever

It was so nice and warm friday (3-20-09) that I couldnt stand to keep the boys inside any longer. Since it was about 60 degrees and the sun was out and the wind was calm, we decided to go outside for some fun. Kaycen was exploring the grass. He kept pulling it and putting it in his mouth, YUCK!
Kaycen LOVED the swing... if you are wondering why its so high, well last summer we didnt want Keyton getting into it himself and falling out. They both thought it was fun, Keyton was dying to take his turn though! The sand in the sandbox was perfect to make sand castles! Keyton was having fun making and stomping the castles he built. This kid can spend hours playing in the sand and dirt. I didnt get a picture of it but before the sandbox fun, Keyton probably tipped over every rock and brick around the yard to find worms. The last one he tipped over he started yelling "catapillar, I found a catapillar!!" So I told him to bring it over for me to see........ well lets just say he hasnt been introduced to the earwig!

Orofino here Britt comes... well came... and home again.. jiggity jig!

Britt & Heath Stephens

Britt went to Orofino, ID fishing with one of his good friends Heath Stephens (we call him Kenneth). There were four guys. The other guy Nick was Heath's friend and the other guy Petey (well thats what they called him) was Nick's friend. So they really didnt all know eachother but ended up having a great time together. Thats all that matters! And new friends! The kids and I sure missed Britt, we couldnt talk to him because his cell phone didnt have any service. So he borrowed one of the guys and would call us for less that 5 minutes each night. We were glad for at least that much. Britt's first fish he caught!Britt with another fish.

This was "big fish" that 'Petey' caught. Too bad they didnt have a scale or tape to measure it!

8 Months and growing...

I just love this baby! Kaycen is 8 months old and I cannot even believe how fast he is growing. Just in the last couple of weeks he has figured out how to scoot around on his bum, pulling himself up to things, and now he is crawling all over the place. He definately went from being a Mommy's boy to Mr. Independant. There is both sadness and joy in this stage of his life. Kaycen is such a cuddler... which Keyton wasnt so I am soaking it all in because I know it wont last long. I keep thinking he is going to pop a tooth through anyday... but still no teeth! His cute gum smile is precious.
This is the best picture I could get... but yesterday Keyton picked him up from behind under his armpits and decided it would be fun to walk with him.. Of course Kaycen is all excited about it too. Well Keyton got a little carried away and tripped over Kaycen's pants and down they both went. Kaycen had his binkie in and hit mouth (binkie) to the floor. Poor baby cried so hard and was bleeding all over the place. He cut the skin right above your front teeth. This picture really doesnt give justice to how it really looks. His lip was swollen all day and even bled one more time after Keyton bumped him again. After he got all calmed down, the bink went right back in the mouth... so it must not have hurt that bad or else he didnt care and really loves that thing. He is doing better today and I hope he heals fast. I guess the good thing about it all is that he wont have a gap between his two front teeth when he is older ;)
