25th of July

7/25/09~~We started the day off at the St. Anthony 24th of July Parade. We watched it at Horsey Park (Boyd Yancey Park). My family on my Dad's side came from Boise to spend the weekend. Grandpa Wright always rides on the Veteran's Float. I forgot my camera in the car so I didnt get any pictures. Kaycen kept eating the candy Keyton would get and then about 20 minutes into the parade Keyton decided that the toys in the park were more fun. Then after the parade we went to GG-Pa's for lunch. Later that day we headed home so Britt could go ride at the dunes. The kids and I went home and when we were outside watching the storms roll through I got a couple pictures of this amazing sunset. The pictures dont give it much justice of the colors and how pretty it really was.I dont think I could ever live in a big city. We love the outdoors too much :)

Tooele

7/22/09~~We headed to Tooele to stay at Holly's house so that the next day Britt and I could go to SLC to meet with Dr. Saltzman at the University of Utah. Holly was kind enough to let us leave the boys. Which we were SO glad we did. We waited for 2.5 hours before we even got taken back to a room, YUCK! To make a long story short we were really impressed with the doctor. He gave us a lot of information and wants Britt to get an updated CT scan and this injection test that only they do. The injection test will tell us if its his subtaler joint and then we will schedule a bone fusion surgery either in December or January. All depends on his new insurance that his work is switching to in September. So until then both tests are on hold.
On our way there we passed this (can't remember what its called) and Keyton said he wanted to climb it, as we got closer we asked him what it was and he said, "I don't know, a temple?" He is so funny! What a character he is these days.
And these were the rocks that Keyton said he wanted to climb because they are SO BIG!

The kids were a little restless and we were about 20 minutes away from Holly's so I gave them a sucker... this is what Kaycen thought of his. He would put it on his head, laugh, then take it off, have a lick, then put it back on his head. He was a sticky mess, but at least it entertained him the rest of the way :)

Daddy's Boots

7/20/09~~Britt got home from work and left his boots outside because they were wet. I could hear Keyton giggling and so I went to see what he was up to. This is what I found... Keyton in Britt's work boots splashing in a puddle :)

Still? -- and a reply

Ok, so its been 3 months since I quit nursing and I STILL am up and down with hormones!! My hair has finally stopped falling out.. which is a sad day because I already have a TON of hair. I didn't think it would take this long for my body to get back on track. Britt is about to trade me in for a new wife ;) One minute I am happy and the next mad. Seriously! Then one week I break out like I am a teenager again and it takes me 2 weeks to clear up, then before I am enjoying clear skin its back to the break out again. I guess this would answer my question why I have only lost 10 pounds in 2 months. I guess I cant complain there though, I usually gain 15 pounds after I quit nursing. Anyone have any magical remedies to make me normal again??

COMMENT: I forgot to mention.... I also had the Mirena (IUD) inserted 6 weeks after Kaycen was born. Took about 4 months to feel ?normal? if thats what you would call it, then I have been feeling this way for awhile, and got worse when I quit nursing... thinking it was my hormones trying to adjust. Not thinking it could be my birth control... but I thought birth control helped with clear skin? Talked to my sister-in-law later after I posted the above... she has been telling me for a long time that everyone she knows has the same feelings or worse. So I think I have some serious thinking/praying to do. Right now I don't have any medical insurance so if I did have it removed then I would have to pay in full, then there is that possibility of getting pregnant with no insurance might I remind. Britt's work is changing insurance companies next month and so I would either have to get on board then, or wait until next Sept. to get on and then start thinking about another baby. Right now I am so overwhelmed hormones, kids, work, Britt having surgery this winter on his ankle again, and everything else... I really don't feel like its a good time to add another baby to the kayos. Like I said... I have some serious thinking/praying to do.

As I was typing my reply this quote came into my head..

"I never said it would be easy, I only said it would be worth it."

Conversation

Me: "Keyton, get out of Dad's tool box right now."

Keyton: long drawn out "Mom!"

Me: "Don't Mom me."

Keyton: "then Crystal?"

So funny! I was impressed that he remembered my name. Keyton has for awhile know questioned what peoples names are. Or where people live or what the store is called we go to. He will call Britt by his name when he gets mad at him or Britt has left a mess. A few weeks ago he asked me what my name was. I said... Mom and he just laughed. Then I told him. He thought that was pretty funny. So when he said this to me this morning all I could do was laugh. Kids... they say the cutest things!
