Kaycen's 1st Birthday !!

6-14-09 Kaycen was so cute on his birthday! He thought opening the gifts was the best... of course the wrapping paper was more exciting than the actually gift. I wanted to buy him a cute cake but Britt insisted that he wouldnt remember and so to just make one. Well I planned on using some cars we have around the house and make it fun but before I could get to it Britt had already frosted the cake. Oh well, there is always next year. He wanted to grab the candle and when Britt kept putting the cake down by him he would get even more excited. Then Keyton helped him blow out his candle.

Kaycen loved all his toys and Keyton loved them too ;) Thanks to all the Grandparents that make special days like this day even more special for my kids!!

All about Kaycen

5-21-09~~Kaycen's personality has been changing so much over the last month. He is so much fun and brings such a sweet spirit to our home. One of his favorite things is playing in the sand box. Gotta love the binkie, I think he has it in most of his pictures. My Mom keeps telling me he will never give it up. He just turned one, so I think if he still has it at 2 then I will get serious about breaking him of it. Keyton didnt even take the binkie so I never had to worry about it. If anyone knows of any good tricks or advice, please share!

5-23-09~~Kaycen has joined in the family favorite food huckleberry crepes! He just loves them, almost as much as Keyton.

5-28-09~~Kaycen out helping Dad fix his wheeler. Britt says that Kaycen is better help than Keyton because he doesnt haul off his tools. I told Britt to give him a year and he will not be able to find ANY of his tools.

6-9-09~~Kaycen thinks that any pair of sunglasses are so funny! Here he is sporting the rhinestone shades. Note that he has the binkie, again! I really dont feel bad about it. Its actually been quite nice and I will definately make sure our next baby takes one... I am not announcing anything here... dont get any ideas, I have my hands full at the moment!

6-16-09~~Kaycen and his vroom, vroom! He makes a car noise regardless if he is pushing around a car or riding his bike.

All about Keyton

5-28-09~~Keyton went in his room and later came out with his swimming clothes on. He told me to get the camera and as I was taking pictures he was striking all these poses. He is so funny!

5-30-09~~We had to defrost our stand up freezer and we were spraying it outside to get all the ice out of it. Well it made a huge muddy mess and Keyton took FULL advantage of the mud. And yes.... he is in a WHITE shirt. I was dying...and cant even believe I still buy my boys white shirts. You would think I knew better by now.

6-12-09~~Keyton playing in the sprinkler after two weeks of rain. It was pouring rain that friday morning and then in the late afternoon the sun came out. Keyton insisted on playing in the sprinkler. 6-17-09~~Keyton got his first mosquito bite of the season. It turned out to be pretty bad. His arm from his elbow to his fingers were swollen. Then the bite turned into a red rash that covered his arm all the way around. Lots of benadryl and creams for about 4 days until the swelling went down.

As I was looking through the pictures on the blog with Keyton he said this " Kaycen is my very best friend! " How cute is that! Love this kid! He really does love his brother. The other day Grandma Kim came and got Keyton after work and Keyton asked her if 'Cub Bear' could go? He thinks about Kaycen all the time now and they giggle and laugh everyday. What happiness this brings to my heart. It makes the hard days seem bearable.

Memorial Weekend

5-22-09 Coleen and the kids came to visit over the weekend of Memorial Day. Dennis, Britt, Keyton, Jared & Ammon all went to the Father and Sons outing up to Green Canyon. They had SO much fun eating a dutch oven dinner and swimming in the pool. I have to add this just for memory, so sorry, hope I don't gross anyone out. Well I told Britt that when he got up there he needed to ask Keyton if he needed to go the bathroom because sometimes he gets so excited that he doesn't take the time to stop and use the bathroom. This happens so rarely, but its always when you dont have a fresh set of clothes. Well Keyton told Britt twice that he really needed to go potty and since Keyton didn't know where it was he was just relying on Britt to take him. Keyton was really excited and having fun and kept running around with the kids and Britt just let him go and didn't pursue the issue. Well then a few minutes later Keyton went to Britt and told him that he had pooped in his underwear. Well good thing I had sent another set of clothes, but of course... forgot underwear. So Keyton went comando for the rest of the night. Poor kid. I am sure after that experience Britt wont forget to take Keyton to the bathroom again when he tells him he has to go ;)

5-23-09 Saturday morning Kim, Dennis, Coleen and kids, Britt and I and the boys all went to The Riot Zone. Keyton had SO much fun playing on the inflatable toys. We even got to take him as a passenger on the bumper boats and cars. He thought that was pretty fun as well. Keyton just loves it when his cousins around. We sure wish they lived closer so we could play more often.
